See exactly where visitors click, scroll, and get stuck.
Pulse is our own heatmap tool. It shows what people really do on every page of your site, so we fix what is costing you customers instead of guessing.
Four things your analytics will not tell you.
Analytics count visits. Pulse shows what happens during them.
Click heatmaps
Every click on every page, drawn right on the live site. Hot spots show what people want; cold spots show what they ignore.
Scroll depth
How far down each page people actually get, so important offers never sit below the point where everyone stops reading.
Rage clicks
Three or more quick clicks in one spot usually means something looks clickable and is not working. Pulse flags every one.
Clicks that go nowhere
Clicks on things that are not links and change nothing. These show us where visitors expect a link, a photo, or more detail.
Click around this page and watch the heat build.
This is a sample page with sample clicks. Click anywhere on it, or click one spot three times fast to set off a rage click.
Built to collect as little as possible.
Pulse answers one question, where people click and scroll, and leaves everything else alone.
No cookies, no IP addresses
Pulse never sets a cookie and never stores an IP address. A random number groups the clicks from one visit, and it disappears when the tab closes.
Nothing typed, nothing from forms
Pulse ignores everything inside forms and never records what anyone types. We can also mark any part of a page so it is never labeled.
Respects privacy settings
Visitors whose browsers send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are skipped entirely, and so are bots.
Your site only
Pulse only accepts data from your own web addresses, and old data is deleted automatically after about 13 months.
From heatmap to a better page.
Install
Pulse goes on every page of your site, with no cookie banner changes and no slowdown.
Collect
Real visitors click and scroll. Phones, tablets, and desktops are tracked separately.
Review
Every month we look for rage clicks, ignored buttons, and pages where people stop scrolling.
Fix and re-check
We change the page, then watch the new heatmap to make sure it worked.
Questions about Pulse.
Will Pulse slow down my site?
No. The tracker is about 4 KB and loads after the page, so visitors never wait on it.
Does Pulse use cookies or record what people type?
No. Pulse sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and never records anything typed into a form. It also skips visitors whose browsers send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
Does it record videos of visitor sessions?
No. Pulse records where people click and how far they scroll, not session videos. That keeps it light and keeps visitors private.
Will the heatmap still line up after my site changes?
Yes. Clicks are tied to the element that was clicked, not a spot on the screen, so the map lines up on phones, tablets, and desktops. If a redesign removes an element, Pulse shows those clicks at their old position and tells you they no longer exist.
Can Pulse see inside embedded menus or booking widgets?
No. Third-party menus, booking tools, and other embedded frames belong to someone else, so Pulse can only track your own pages.
Can I see the heatmaps myself?
Yes. We walk you through them in your reporting, with what we found and what we changed because of it.
More of what we build.
See what your visitors really do.
Pulse comes with every site we build. Tell us about yours and we will show you where people are getting stuck.
